Kent Air Ambulance Memorial

On Sunday 26th July, 1998, the Kent Air Ambulance crashed after colliding with power cables near Burham. It was returning to its base at Rochester Airport following an aborted call to attend a road accident. All three crew of the air ambulance - the pilot, Graham Budden, and two paramedics, Mark Darby and Tony Richardson, were sadly killed in the accident.

A memorial to the crew is located at the Bluebell Hill picnic site, close to the scene of the crash.
